Annette was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1951, and is the oldest of 6 children. Annette graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 1976 with a B.S. in Political Science. She went on to law school at the University of Wisconsin School of Law - Madison, from which she graduated with a J.D. in 1979. She joined Conway Law Office in Baraboo, Wisconsin, that same year, which later became Conway, Gerhardt and Seefeld, SC. When she left the firm in 1994, with fond farewells, she was a senior partner with the firm, and was teaching classes for the Wisconsin State Bar Association.
In 1994, she and her husband pulled up stakes and moved to Whetstone, Arizona, where they live to this day. Annette’s only regret is that they didn’t leave the Wisconsin climate sooner, although she and her husband Glenn both miss family and friends that remain in Wisconsin.
Over the many years of advising clients on estate planning, business structure and real estate law, she has learned how good planning can bring dramatic benefits to clients and their families.
Annette enjoys classical music, reading, gardening, bird watching and riding her horses. Annette’s husband of over 42 years, Glenn, is a licensed general contractor. Annette assists him with the administrative aspects of the construction business, and together they own a small mobile home park and three rental houses in Whetstone. They are each other’s best friends, business partners and spouses. Glenn is often at the law office, usually accompanied by one or more of his 3 Miniature Australian Shepherd dogs. Annette and Glenn have two children, and three grandchildren. Their daughter Erika lives in Wisconsin with her family. Their son Greg and his family live in Germany where he is a civilian contractor for the military.
Annette is a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Elder Counsel, the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Wealth Counsel, the Arizona State Bar Association, the Sierra Vista Bar Association and other professional associations.
Annette and her husband Glenn live outside of Huachuca City with 8 dogs, 1 horse, and 1 cat.

Christine joined our team in 2016, shortly after her family moved to the area so that her husband, Noah, could accept a position on post. She has practiced law for about a decade and was admitted to practice in Arizona, Hawai‘i, and Maryland, but is currently inactive in states other than Arizona.
Before joining our firm, Christine lived briefly in Hawai‘i, where she was a Legislative Aide in the Hawai'i State Senate for the 2016 Session.
From 2013 to 2015, Christine worked in Jacksonville, North Carolina practicing Veterans Law part-time and teaching paralegal studies and criminal justice at a community college. Working part-time allowed Christine to be with her two young children, Hannah and Harrison.
From 2008 to 2013, Christine was Counsel and later Staff Director for a subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. While on Capitol Hill, her work focused primarily on issues arising under Title V of the U.S. Code, specifically Federal employees' rights and benefits, Federal law enforcement officers, Inspectors General, and national and homeland security.
Christine is originally from Pearl City, Hawai‘i, but lives with her family and their myriad critters on 10 acres in Hereford. She enjoys pounding pavement with Sierra Running, cooking, and bargain hunting. Christine received her B.A. with honors from Boston University and J.D. from George Washington University. Christine is proudly serving as a First Lieutenant in the 117th Legal Operations Detachment of the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps.

Paulette Newell is the Funding and Settlement Coordinator as well as the Chief Financial Officer for Peace of Mind Law Center. Paulette joined our team in January 2007, with 19 years of legal experience, as well as four years of executive secretarial experience.
During her prior years of work experience, she assisted attorneys as a paralegal in many areas of law; however, her primary focus has been probate and real estate as well as law office administration.
Since joining our Team, her primary focus has been serving clients by coordinating the funding and settlement process in connection with Living Trusts. She is meticulous and enjoys detail work.
Paulette grew up in Colorado. She came to us from Vermont where she lived for 19 years. She resided in Sierra Vista for almost ten years until December of 2016 when she relocated to Colorado to help care for her aging parents. She now works for us remotely from there.
She enjoys entertaining friends and family and likes to cook. Paulette plays a violin that was rebuilt by her great-grandfather.
Paulette also enjoys painting. The cover of this Welcome Book is a copy of a lovely painting by Paulette entitled “Lemonade” that she has been kind enough to allow us to use for this purpose.

Dan Gosbeth is our Elder Care Coordinator and works with our Life Care Planning clients. Dan is originally from Rossford, Ohio, which is a suburb of Toledo.
Dan received his Associates Degree in 2002 from the Community College of Allegheny County, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2005 he received a Bachelor's Degree from Lourdes University located in Sylvania, Ohio.
Dan moved to Hays, Kansas in late 2012 where he married his wife Jacinta. Dan and Jacinta had their first child in September 2013 and have been trying to keep up ever since. They are had their second child in February 2018, so now they have a little girl and a baby boy.
The Gosbeth family moved to the beautiful state of Arizona in March 2016. Dan and his family have just moved into their new home in Sahuarita, and are exploring everything Arizona has to offer.
Dan is also a long distance caregiver to his mother, who has advanced dementia. He receives a lot of support from his family and the staff at the long term care facility in Ohio, who help to oversee her care.

Laurie Taylor joined the Gerhardt Law Office team in May 2014. She is our Assistant Funding Coordinator. She enjoys helping the team give our clients the best possible service.
Laurie received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Christopher Newport College in Newport News, Virginia in 1981. In 1990, she received a Master of Education from the University of Arizona. After teaching history and constitution for many years on the secondary level, she retired in 2002. In 2000, Laurie entered the retail business world with a feed and hardware store. After taking classes in web site development, she started an e-commerce business in 2012.
Laurie loves family activities with her son and daughter in law, and beautiful granddaughter. She enjoys outdoor activities especially with her two horses. She competed in team roping and team penning for many years. She loves to ride off into the sunset on Arizona’s beautiful trails. She also enjoys her four adopted dogs.

Michelle Higbee became a welcome addition to our team in July of 2016. She comes to us from southern Oregon and is our Office Manager, Client Development and Life Care Planning Coordinator.
Michelle worked previously in the legal field for over 18 years in the areas of family law and personal injury. During those 18 years, she also managed a law office for over 14 years.
She is thoroughly enjoying estate planning and elder law and bringing her knowledge to work for us and you.
In her capacity as Client Development Director, Michelle helps coordinate all of the advertising, marketing and promotions for the firm.
As Life Care Planning Coordinator, Michelle helps supervise the Life Care Planning side of the firm including assisting with asset protection planning, benefit planning as well as coordination and processing of VA and ALTCS applications.
Michelle is the proud grandparent of 10 beautiful grandchildren and her favorite pastime is spending time with them. Six of her grandchildren live in Sierra Vista, which is one of the biggest reasons for her relocation here, aside from the sunshine and wide open spaces.
Michelle is an avid reader, and also loves to sew and crochet. She has many other interests which include family history and community service.

Chantelle joined our team in April 2018 and comes to us from Rota, Spain. Her husband, Jeremy, is a chief petty officer in the United States Navy.
Chantelle spent her first 12 years of life in Iowa and has been on the move ever since. She claims Louisiana to be home, as that’s where she will live after her husband retires from the military.
While this will be Chantelle’s first job in the legal world, she brings much experience as a financial counsellor with Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
Chantelle also had the pleasure of serving her country during the four years she spent in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, she was an Information Systems Coordinator. She was based in San Diego, California and got to travel to many locations while aboard the USS Boxer. Her favorite location was Phuket, Thailand because of the gorgeous beaches and amazing food.
Chantelle is the owner of a Chihuahua/Pomeranian puppy named Ruger.

Elena Feliciano is the most recent addition to the Peace of Mind Law Center Team and joined us in July 2018. She is our Information Services Coordinator manning the front desk. She will likely be the first person you speak with in our office and the first person you see when you come in the front door. She's also the designer of this website, so if you spot a problem please let her know!
Elena is the proud daughter of two military veterans, and spent her childhood traveling around the United States with her family before they settled in Sierra Vista in 2000.
Elena attended Cochise College here in Sierra Vista and graduated Cum Laude with an Associate’s of Fine Arts in 2014.
She is utilizing her Fine Arts degree by creating our new website and assisting with graphic design projects for the office.
Elena was a professional makeup artist before joining the team and still loves everything about it. She regularly hosts classes and tutorials to teach others about makeup. She has excellent customer service skills she is putting to good use in her position on the team.
Some of her hobbies include drawing, painting and road trips. She has a Snowshoe Himalayan cat named Magellan (nicknamed Jelly Bean) that she loves very much.
Honey, a Toy Australian Shepherd, is one of Annette and Glenn’s 7 dogs. Honey is lovingly referred to as a “foster failure” because when Annette took her in, she’d planned on only fostering her until a permanent home was found. It wasn’t very long before the Gerhardts realized that they adored her and didn’t want to let her go! She is the perfect pet to have in the office, as she loves everyone is quite sure everyone loves her!
Honey has the unofficial title of Director of Public Relations for the firm.
